The AXA J80 Autumn League, our new activity with supervised minors, the story of overcoming one of our students from the Adapted Sailing School or the recognition that ASEM Galicia gave us are some of the issues that we address in this newsletter, in the that we bid farewell to Admiral Don Rafael Lorenzo, an essential figure in the creation of some of the most prestigious competitions at Monte Real.

The Galician Solitary and Two-handed Championship, which we organize once again by delegation of the Galician Sailing Federation, the next J80 Autumn League, the success of the Solidarity Vertiathlon, the Amaromar initiative or the Galicia Quality certification are other topics we covered in the first newsletter of fall 2019.

Once finished, it is time to remember the great moments that the 34th Prince of Asturias Trophy left us, which we celebrate one more year together with the Terras Gauda National Sailing Awards. All the information, videos, classifications, photographs… you can find them here.

The announcement of the Prince of Asturias Trophy, the balance of the Conde de Gondomar Trophy, the visit of the Irish Cruising Club, the signing of the agreement with ABANCA, the ASANOG dinner, the renewal of the support of the Xunta de Galicia to our Adapted Sailing School or the visit of the Fleur de Passion to the club are some of the topics that we address in the August newsletter.

The Galician Singles and Twos Championship, which was finally deserted and will be repeated; the end of the Baitra Social League with the children of the Sailing School, the closing ceremony of the Adapted Sailing School 2018-2019 or the visit of our friends from the Royal Cruising Club and ARC Portugal are some of the topics we address in this newsletter.

The sailing campaign for the summer 2019 of the Monte Real Yacht Club includes 6 proposals with which children and adults can learn to sail and enjoy the sea in Baiona during the months of July, August and September. There are 6 courses and activities with which to learn about the sport of sailing, improve your practice or simply enjoy sailing.

In recent weeks we have held the Galician Solitaire and Two-handed Championship, although the wind did its thing and left the winners’ podium deserted; the Baitra Children’s Sailing Trophy, in which we once again brought together a large number of young sailors in Baiona; and we incorporated Roy Alonso to our staff, to deal with sports management.

J80 Winter League, Comunica Trophy, Repsol Trophy… in this newsletter we talk about those that have already finished and we inform you of those that are to come. We also told you about the challenge that a group of students from our Adapted Sailing School who circumnavigated the Estelas Islands overcame or about the new inclusive TVG campaign in which we participated.

The Comunica Trophy, the J80 Winter League, the podcast of the special programs about the club, the SICTED, the recognition of Okofen as the best J80 of 2018, the Adapted Sailing Seminar, the tribute to the women of the club or the activity with Manchester students are some of the topics you will find in this new club newsletter.

March is the month of the Arribada and we dedicate a special section to it in a newsletter in which we also talk about the J80 Winter League, about the pilot test that we carry out to demonstrate how nautical can help in cases of serious behavioral problems, the 200 carballos we planted in Baiona or the special podcast on adapted sailing.

The J80 Winter League, Pedro Sardina’s interview with the club’s president for ABC de la Náutica, the recording of two specials of Convivir Deportivo on Radio Galega, the smoke-free port diploma, the Pornic-Baiona-La Rochele and the equipment of the Sailing School in the February newsletter.

The Conde de Gondomar Trophy, the Prince of Asturias Trophy and the delivery of the National Sailing Awards will once again be the highlights of the programme. The visit of the Royal Cruising Club, the nautical meeting with the Irish Cruising Club, the ARC Portugal rally and the Pornic Baiona regatta will put the international note on the calendar.

The Christmas message from the president of the club, José Luis Álvarez, focuses on a special newsletter in which his words are accompanied by several videos that summarize the annual activity of the club throughout 2018 through the events held, the School de Vela and the people who visited us throughout the year in Baiona.

The “Xacobean Nautical Crossing” seeks to offer sailing lovers the possibility of completing the Camino de Santiago through the sea and obtaining the Compostela by stamping a pilgrim’s credential in the most outstanding marinas in Galicia, among which is the Monte Real Club de Yates as port of departure.

The 33rd Prince of Asturias Trophy was a complete success with the public and participation, once again including the presentation of the National Sailing Awards and leaving us with great moments to remember that you can relive thanks to this special newsletter.

Once finished, it is time to remember the great moments that the 43rd Count of Gondomar · Banco Sabadell Trophy left us. All the information, videos, classifications, photographs… you can find them here, in this special newsletter of the Count.

In June we said goodbye to spring and welcomed summer with a large number of activities of all kinds: regattas, courses, adapted sailing, talks, visits, transits, team sailing… the club is still bustling full of multiple initiatives and we we summarize, like every month, in our newsletter.
