Galician Solitaire and Two-Handed Championship I Rafael Olmedo Memorial 2015

The Galician Solitaire and Two-Handed Championship – I Rafael Olmedo Memorial will be held on June 13 and 14 in the waters of the Bay of Baiona, and the Vigo, Pontevedra and Arousa estuaries. Participants must complete a distance of about 60 miles sailing alone or with a single companion at most, which will add excitement to the test.
The route has several obligatory steps (the Carallones and La Negra beacons, the Cíes Islands, the Picamillo, Fajilda, Esqueiros and Ter marks, the Ons and Onza Islands and the Viños Islet) and the public can follow it from the Costa de la Vela and the O Grove peninsula.
The regatta will give lunch on Saturday the 13th at eleven o’clock in the morning and is scheduled to end at dawn on Sunday, with the arrival of the last boats on land. The duration of the test will depend on the ability of the crews and the weather conditions. On Sunday afternoon , the award ceremony for the winners will be held at the facilities of the Monte Real Club de Yates.
