· The nautical competition will be held the first weekend of September within the framework of the XXXI Prince of Asturias Trophy of the Monte Real Yacht Club
· 36 of the best sailors from Spain and Portugal will fight for victory in six races that will take place in the bay of Baiona under equal conditions
· The crews will be exclusively female and will sail in identical one-design boats with the same number of sailors on board
Next September, the ¡HOLA! Ladies Cup, which will bring together the best female cruising sailing crews on the peninsula in the bay of Baiona. It will be held on September 2, 3 and 4, within the framework of the 31st Prince of Asturias Trophy, organized since 1986 by the Monte Real Club de Yates and the Naval Military School of Marín.
In the three days that the HELLO! Ladies Cup 2016, the 36 participating sailors will compete under equal conditions, with crews with the same number of sailors and in 6 identical one-design boats, of the Beneteau First Fígaro type, under the name of each of the divisions of the sponsoring international communication group , the HOLA Group (HOLA!, H!FASHION, HELLOFASHION, HELLO!, HOLA MADE IN USA and HOLA.COM). They will fight for victory in six windward-leeward races that will be held in real time, in a regatta field that will be located in the bay of Baiona or in the anchorage of the Cíes Islands, depending on the weather conditions that are recorded during the days of competition.
Among the crews that will participate in the HELLO! Ladies Cup 2016 is led by Amparo Mollá, from the Madrilenian Sailing Federation, champion of the Ladies Cup in the last three editions. The Nada Pahor team from FEMAVE will also attend the event in Baiona, and Conchi de Pedro will skipper the girls from Metromar – Natural Ladies, who will race for the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante. Paloma Gil will lead the crew of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, and the Portuguese Marta Ramada will do the same with the BBDouro We Do Sailing team. On behalf of the Monte Real Club de Yates, which organizes the competition with the sponsorship of ¡HOLA!, a team led by Genoveva Pereiro will compete.
The HELLO! Ladies Cup 2016 will be one of the numerous proposals offered by the thirty-first edition of the Prince of Asturias Trophy, which, in addition to the classic nautical competitions, will include breakfasts, talks, tastings, fireworks and parties.
