Javier de la Gándara’s Okofen, Juan Carlos Ameneiro’s Alboroto and Fernando Yáñez’s Cansino lead the classification
The Galician J80 fleet will compete this Saturday in Baiona for the third round of the Autumn League, which has been held since last October under the organization of the Monte Real Yacht Club.
The 17 participating boats will return to the water with enthusiasm after the previous day only one of the three scheduled regattas could be disputed due to bad weather conditions.
On this occasion, the forecast indicates that the wind will blow above 15 knots, reaching peaks close to 25, so, in principle, there should be no problems completing the program.
The regattas will begin, as usual, at three in the afternoon, and will include a double course between buoys. If all three scheduled races are finally run, a discard will come into play, and once each boat removes its worst partial result from the counter, there could be surprises in the standings.
Until now, the leadership belongs, clearly and forcefully, to Javier de la Gándara’s Okofen, who achieved four first places in the four races held. In second position, 7 points behind Okofen, is Juan Carlos Ameneiro’s Alboroto; and with just one point of difference between them, Fernando Yáñez’s Cansino and Santiago Estévez’s Spaco are in third and fourth place.
