Blue Flag
To respect and care for the environment has always been forefront in the Monte Real Yacht Club’s ethos. For this reason, since the beginning of the Blue Flag in 1987, the MRCYB has been continuously waving this prestigious award on the club’s mast as a symbol of environmental respect since 1988 to the present day, apart from the year 2008.
The Blue Flag campaign is managed by the non-lucrative organization Foundation for the Environmental Education (FEE), which is represented in Spain by ADEAC, Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor (Environmental Education and Consumers Association).
Year after year, the campaign complies more and in a better way with its main purpose of increasing environmental awareness. Thus, the club is adhered to the Code of Conduct for the Sea and is actively promoting it among its members and visitors. Given that the commitment with the environment is for everyone and the effort to be made should be collective.
